WHAT IS PERMACULTURE?
Permaculture is a design system for sustainable living and is commonly known for it's contribution to organic sustainable gardening and regenerative agricultural and farming practices. Permaculture stands for "Permanent Culture" and its scope in theory and application go beyond agriculture, into creating integrated living systems to support the resilience and sustainability of communities. Permaculture began in Australia in the 1970’s by Bill Mollison, a CSIRO scientist and academic and David Holmgren in response to earth’s soil, water and air pollution by industrial and agricultural systems. Permaculture offers an understanding of how biological processes and human living systems can be integrated without environmental and social degradation. Permaculture is a synthesis of traditional knowledge and modern science gives us the tools to become conscious participants in tackling issues hat face us locally and globally; in rural and urban locations and in both developed and developing countries alike.

Urban & Rural Land Care Solutions
We work with individuals, communities and the private sector in community centred, culturally appropriate ways. Together we can design and develop sustainable environmental systems, to allow individuals to gain the skill sets to transition from dependency to self reliance, creating productive sustainable human environments that are: ecologically sound, culturally appropriate and economically viable - providing for their own needs today and for the future. |
WHERE SEE WORKS?
SEE works internationally in the following countries:
'Where there is a problem, there is always a solution'
This is a common permaculture mantra that encourages us to respond positively to many of modern day life's issues, in turn, helping and empowering people and communities to become more resilient. |
